LIFE:
I have 3 underpants instead of 5. Anna didn't come on the date.
September 11, 2023. I was eager for a message from Anna. So, I sent her a "Good morning" via WhatsApp. Then, around eight o'clock, I went to the cafeteria for breakfast.
Unfortunately, I accidentally bought a croissant with meat that I had to throw away. It was disgusting enough to swallow the bite. Luckily, the café crema with oat milk tasted good.
While enjoying the coffee, my phone rang. Finally, Anna got in touch. Only for her had I reactivated WhatsApp notifications to read her messages as quickly as possible. She seemed interested in me, I could feel it from her detailed messages. This sparked even more interest in her.
After coffee, I sat on the fourth floor of the library and worked on the website until half past eleven. Then, I went to the cafeteria for lunch. There was broccoli with nuts, creamy carrot sauce, peas, and mashed potatoes. Since it was warm outside, I sat on a meadow. Sometimes, I was glanced at by other students sitting at the tables. I sat alone in the grass, eating my lunch as if I were a member of a nature tribe.
After lunch, I bought plums, grapes, peaches, apples, and of course, fresh cherry tomatoes, which Anna liked very much. Around six o'clock, I wanted to meet Anna for a picnic and badminton. After shopping, I went home, lay down, and decided to consistently implement the three-underpants strategy, as it seemed to be working so far. I sorted out two more pairs of cotton underpants, so that I only had three high-quality modal underpants left, a silky cellulose fabric that feels more pleasant on the skin and dries faster than cotton.
I cut the fruit into bite-sized pieces, grabbed badminton rackets and the "Tell Me More" question game that Lina had lent me, and headed to the Welfengarten to be behind the university at 6 p.m. sharp.
I waited five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes. No response from Anna. Somewhat disappointed, I sat alone on the grass, took out the snacks, and had the picnic alone. I was really angry with Anna. I almost wrote to her asking what was going on. But the sweet tomatoes and a man in a monkey costume hopping across the meadow kept me from putting my feelings into words.
With a disappointed face, I went to karate training. Jule was there, but I didn't speak a word to her. Even during the Kata "Heian Nidan," I made mistakes because my mind was full of resentment.
Microchange: I have reduced the number of my underpants from 5 to 3.
